KO at THE INTERCONTINENTAL RESORT - JIMBARAN
KO Japanese restaurant re-opened a few months ago with an entirely
new classy and sophisticated look; all vey Zen! It is divided
into separate areas: a very comfortable sushi and sashimi lounge
with a piano and a singer, a tepanyaki room for up to 40 people
and some secluded private dining areas.
The food is, of course, exemplary and the staff are exceptionlly
well-trained but this is what one would expect from the InterContinental.
MATSURI – GALERIA, NUSADUA
This Japanese restaurant has been operating for over 12 years
and that is always a good indication of popularity. It has a reputation
for good quality traditional cuisine served in a variety of comfortable
and relaxing settings. The outdoor area is attractive with its’Zen’
garden and water-features; complete with hanging paper lanterns.
Inside, you will find the sushi bar, the teppanyaki counter, the
tatami rooms and an irori pavilion plus the main dining area.
The menu is extensive and you are sure to find all your Japanese
favourite dishes here.
RYOSHI - SEMINYAK
Ryoshi’s formula of basic Japanese food in a casual setting
has proved so successful that there are now four outlets dotted
across South Bali and even one on Gili Terawangan in Lombok. Groups
of Japanese tourists are often spotted among the diners enjoying
traditional fare such as ‘California sushi rolls’
, chicken ‘katsu’ and tuna, white marlin and salmon
sashimi. The service is efficient and friendly, and the prices
are very reasonable.
TEN KU – AT THE PATRA BALI , TUBAN
This Japanese Restaurant at the Patra Bali Resort and Villas
has recently acquired a new look to the layout and the interior.
Tha changes include the sushi counter, the tepanyaki area, the
private tatami room and an enlarged dining room which overlooks
the ocean and affords beautiful sunset views. The restaurant is
open from 11 am until 11 pm for lunch and dinner and with prices
starting from just Rp. 75.000 net , this is good vales.
WASABI – SENINYAK
This is a small but very exclusive Sushi ans Sake bar with some
excellent choices of bath food and drink and exquisitely designed
décor. The fact that a Japanese restaurant attracts so
many Japanese tourists is an indication of its authenticity. Staff
are sent to Japan for training and, because freshness of food
is given very high priority, the fish is flown in from Japan twice
a week. Not cheap but well worth a visit.
KUNI’S JAPANESE RESTAURANT - SEMINYAK
