1. Validation of free short stay visa to the duration of 30 (thirty) days and the establishment of Visa on arrival (VOA) to be effective as of 1st February 2004

2. Short stay visa and visa on arrival is given to any particular tourists/foreigners for visits with the following purposes of tourism (sight-seeing), social and cultural visits, business visits or diplomatic duties. Any citizens that are not embossed with short stay visa facility may be eligible to the issue of visa on arrival.

3. Foreign nationals applicable to the free short stay visa are those from the following countries:
a. Thailand
b. Singapore
c. Malaysia
d. Brunei Darussalam
e. The Philippines
f. Hong Kong Special Administration Region (Hong Kong SAR)
g. Macao Special Administration Region
h. Chile
i. Morocco
j. Peru
k. Vietnam

4. Foreign nationals eligible to the Visa on Arrival (VOA) are those with the country of origin as below:
a. USA
b. Australia

5. Short Stay Visa issued to overseas citizens prior to their entry through any immigration office or immigration checking port with Visa on Arrival will be endorsed by authorized immigration personnel. The Visa on Arrival may only be issued at the following airport

Visa on Arrival may only be issued on the following seaport:

4) Sibolga in Sibolga
5) Yos Sudarso in Dumai

6. Short Stay Visa permitted to the duration of stay not exceeding 30 (thirty) days and Visa on Arrival permitted to the duration of 5 (five) days or 30 (thirty) days, to comply with the following conditions:
a. In case of emergency, natural disaster, a special permission to extend is granted only by directorate general of Immigration
b. Visa on Arrival will not be transferred and extended to another visa.

7. Short stay visa and Visa on Arrival is granted by stamping or installing sticker or other formats inside a valid travel documents /passport.

8. The final process and procedure to complete short stay visa and Visa on arrival application is done directly within the immigration port based on the 5th point above in conjunction to the following criteria:
a. Applicants bears valid passport of the county of origins and travel documents and with the validity of at least 6 months of the proposed date of entry
b. To fill out the E / D card, with clear, capital and correct information
c. Guarantee of the availability of funds to cover living expenses while in Indonesia.
d. To pay the Visa on Arrival expense.
Foreign Nationals subject to free Short stay visa, regulate by President’s amendment no: 103 year 2003 subjected to the alteration of President’s amendment no: 18 year 2003, may directly proceed to the immigration counter.
This regulating process is to further enhance affectivity of validating visas and the 3 – 5 minutes mark per-validation as targeted will be achieved, thus reducing the long delay to the inbound visitors.

9. Validating counter of Short Stay Visa in each port regulated by 2 (two) levels:
a. 6(six) counter at the front of CVIP – Dewi Sri Lounge international arrival and equipped by one bank, to be operated as payment receiver of visitations visa at arrival and money changers with constantly updated exchange rates.
b. 4 (four) counter at the front of smoking area, international arrival room, equipped by one bank
c. 10 (ten) immigration counter for stamp and validation of entrance.

10. E / D card to be filled with proper information and applicants do not exist in any international criminal record is pre-criteria of acceptance / refusal of foreign nationals application to the arrival visa.
