In this Batukaru golf section, guided by Bagus
Perbawa, a 9th handicapped golfer from Bali,
consists of personal tips, experiences and strategy to tame some
of Bali's famous golf courses. It is understood that playing in
tropical area like Bali may in fact differs greatly from playing
in Europe, The US or other parts of the world. The tips provided
may proven to be a great help for those who seeks pleasure as
well as seriousness in playing golf particularly in Bali.
The section itself includes photographs and Bagus's own strategy
in playing in Bali's top golf courses.
However please refer to his yardage and gears/equipments, for
some golfer may not suit his distances in order to fully maximise
the use of this section.
Some golfers may find that the information provided are not very
much "in depth". This is due to the fact that the golfer
himself is not a golf tutor but merely someone who enjoy golf
as part of his life. Bagus is a keen observer of golf though himself
never wrote in any periodicals. He has travelled to some of the
golf courses in Indonesia, Asia and Australia, and has enjoyed
his single handicap for some time. Claiming that he would never
dreamed to be a professional, the quest might just begin for the
24 year old.
Please click on the corresponding golf courses to see Bagus's
personal guide.
A great golf course design by 'The
Great white shark' Greg Norman, arguably one of the most
succesful golf course designer in Australia, yet the world. The
Nirwana Bali Golf Course overlook the Indian Ocean with Bali's

British Open in 1986 and 1993 regards this course as golfer's
dreamland, and as the name itself, translated in Balinese as Nirvana
or Moksah (the afterlife world), the Nirwana Bali Golf Course
certainly prove a heaven on Earth every serious golfer's would
dreamed of playing.
The Nirwana Bali Golf hosted the Bali invitational 2002 for
Bali for the world recovery program after the devastating Bali
Bombing tragedy (oct 12th) 2002 with Nick Faldo, Robert Allenby
and Ernie Els took part in the charity game.
