Most people tend t skip this Eastern trips to Bali while in
fact it is probably one that mostly very attractive. Here is
the chance to see the different site of Bali, a more of traditional
and not much affected by the hustle of tourism.
Perhaps the thing that makes the trips a little less famous
is the distance it covered. The actual times it takes to travel
to the Tenganan village for instance from denpasar is nearly
2 hours. That alone can make you feel rather bored.
Nonetheless, if you happen to stop by at the Old Balinese (Bali
Aga) of Tenganan, we sure that you will enjoy the warmth and
relaxing surrounding and a very traditional environment. Well
not very much traditional anymore nowadays since modern technology
has started to influence the daily life of Tenganan villagers.
Nonetheless, the feeling still strong and they still very much
bound and obey to their tradition.
following our Tenganan village visit is a visit to the Pura
Goa Lawah, or the Bat Cave temple. Yes, we did not meet Mr Batman.
Bat Cave temple is one of the Balinese Hindu temple that act
as balancing force and very important temple that is being said
by Balinese it links to the Besakih complex. In fact, some claims
that the cave emerge in Besakih, though none so far brave enough
to enters it.
Our last visit is the Kertha Gosa court, the former high court
of the Kingdom of Klungkung. The court sits in the centre of
the Klungkung region and beautifully decorated with exquisite
paintings on its ceilings. The paintings itselves are made by
local artist from nearby village of Kamasan and depicting the
story of Mahabharata.
